How come no one told me I haven't been here in forever in a day??? lol. Dang! Guess since I'm on Facebook 999 times a day I don't think to come over here and blog. I'm such a sluffer! hehehe.

Anyways, lots happening in the last yr...where to begin...hmm...
April 5,2011 I fell out of my shower chair(don't ask) and broke my femur. Then got a blood clot when the dumb ass surgeon didn't put me on blood thinners...hello! Can't move the legs and the breaks been floating around there now for 4 days...I can't only imagine the mess it was..have xrays but will have to find them again..well here's the link to the one on Facebook-let's see if it works..lol

Got clot taken care of..summer uneventful...move on to Christmas- it was a quiet one since Jon had to work :( but at least he has a job! Alot of folks are way worse off than we are...loosing homes, jobs, etc...it's so sad to see how bad things are all over the place. Make me wonder if we'll ever get out of this mess the country is in...time will tell but for now we just plug along and do the best we can with what we have to work with...

Jan 2011- I was offered a job with the Az Spinal Cord Injury Association as the Community Resource Specialist and Peer Mentor Coordinator...LOVE the job so far! LOTS to do but I figure it keeps me out of trouble and off the streets...LOL...also on the SCI retreat commitee helping get our annual retreat going and set up...challenging but that's ok! Love the people interaction and helping out those who have a chance to do something other than sit home all the time...this is their yearly outting!

Stil on 2 creative teams- Kathryn Estry and e-scapeandscrap.net web site...although I've been MIA the last yr they still keep me on..THANK YOU ladies! Love you! Working on getting back into the swing of things! Seems I had nothing to do there for a long time- now with work and CT's life in a whirlwind! Oh and to top it all off- my girls are coming to visit for a week on Sat! YEAH! Well girls as in daughter,Heather and granddaughter, Kaileigh..boys too- grandson Chace and Heathers new beau- Shawn..can't wait to meet him as he sounds like a great guy! She SO deserves to be happy but that's a whole nuther story! LOL..Tammi can't make it since her work is short handed :(...Chace turned two yesterday already! Dang! Happy Birthday bud! Mimi loves you!!! Heather said he's growing well and eats like no tomorrow! Has a great appetite which is awesome...still no walking or sitting up but that's ok! He's taking a few steps with his walker which is great! I'll have to get some video and pictures...ohhhh maybe I'll go buy a Flip! hehehe...but honey we HAD to get movies...hehehe...

Well have to get busy and do some cleaning- hmmm..do have to clean up my Frontierville too...decisions decisions...clean or farm???? THAT is the question!

It's a gorgeous day outside but here I sit in front of the computer, once again. I have NO energy to do anything these days. I'm beginngin to think I never will but know that I HAVE to! I haven't even done our taxes yet and their due next week! YIKES. Every year I say I'll do better the next but always fail at it..LOL..maybe this yr will be different..heheh...

Well I guess I'll run and see where else I can post something, or maybe even work on some scrap pages- for which I am SO behind with all that's been going the last few months. We meet with an estate attorney next week to get things going with moms estate- what a job! Anyone need a mobile home all set up in a senior park? LOL

One of these days I will get to doing this blog thing on a dialy basis! If I can do Facebook each day you'd think I'd come here as well huh? Guess I figure FB is enough or something. Not quite sure..

I've been TRYING to get some LO's together so my designers don't think I've abandoned them but some days just come and go and nothng gets done. I'm doing PT 3 days a week so that takes time- about 3 hrs total..I found a gym setting at Glendale Community College that is set up just for people with disabilities. I'm going to call them and see if I can come check it out before I commit to anything. It's a great deal they have tho-$90 for 4 months and you can go as often as you want to go. So I should,huh? Maybe it will help be get some weight off as well as tone up and keep working what I do have.

We adopted an 8 mo old German Sheppard puppy the other day. She was a stray and so so thin. OMG. I have never seen a dog in person so thin. I walked by her cage and she had her front paw up on the door so I leaned over and was petting her. She looked up at me with THE saddest looking eyes. I have never seen a dog look so pitiful. Jay wanted an Australian SHeppard but they didn't have any. I asked if we could look at Lily(that's the name Jayson chose.after we adopted her). They brought her out and she right away jumped up on me and snuggled in my lap. We pet her and loved her, getting puppy kisses..Jayson pet her some and said no I don't think I want her,mom. Let's go look some more". I said that was fine(All the while my heart breaking that she would go back into the kennel)..I was fine with it so we looked and re looked at all the dogs when all of a sudden Jayson said-Let's get the German Sheppard mom(YES!)...So we filled out the paperwork but had to leave her till Tuesday so they could get her fixed. We went Tuesday afternoon and picked her up. She came out just a waggin her tail and a happy look,like she knew she was going home! The ride home wasn't to bad. She rode good-on Jon's lap(her front paws) and hung her head out the window-occasionally gagging with the air hitting her int he face(why is it dogs do that but if you blow int heir faces they turn away) Lily rode well. We arrived home to be greeted by Jayson, his friend Matt and another kid I have no idea who it was..I had to leave right away to go back down to the DEC,which I had just driven by 45 min before...can you say road weary?! When I got home about 9 Jon said Lily did real well with Reggie and he thought she was already housebroken as she made no messes and sort of went to the back door to go out- SO that is a saving grace for her as well as me! This AM when we got up she was full of piss and vinegar! OMG, what a difference a day makes! She sat when Jon told her to -if she wanted her food she needs to sit first and she did...so we're off to a good start! Reggie won't even attempt to go near the food bowl when she's eating as I guess last night sahe growled at him(the big baby!)LOL...she wolfed down her food but not much of it..it's good tho as we don't want to eat to so much so fast for now- a little at a time until she get some weight on...we're taking her to the vet this afternoon so we'll what they say about her health-she gets a free check up from them which is great! Will be anxious to get her weight. Here is a photo I took when we picked her up..Pretty shocking and sad, isn't it?

Well what's new? Hmm..oh yeah- the Breast Cancer 3 day walk! We're only 17 away!!! Did you get your donation in yet? Yeah you= you know who I'm talking to- the one who keeps saying oh I have time yet- NO YOU DON'T! I need only about $500 more to reach my goal so get with the program! Geez Louise! I found a generator too! We're working on HOPEFULLY getting one donated but if not, the manager said he would happy to loan us one! Yippeee! Our new grandson Chace is in the NICU in Dallas- it appears he has somehow contracted Encephlitis somehow. Heather's not sure where he got it but I guess it might have come from someone with a cold sore. He'll be in the NICU for awhile it sounds like. Please say prayers for Chace that he'll come thru this with no problems. So hard to hear since he's only 18 days old! He's having some seizures along with this so it's a hard time for his momma,daddy and big sis right now. and for Grandma too who is so far away! I SOOOOO wish I could be there right now with them to give Heather my shoulder to lean on. It's hard being away from them when they need us. Why do our kids have to grow up let alone want to be away from home. I understand now how my parents felt when we moved Heather from NY to CO when she was a mere 5 wks old...sucks to grow up doesn't it? Anyways I'll post more as I know more...thankfully too one of my scrapping grannies group members live about a half hr from where Chace and Heather are so she's going to go visit them tomorrow and take Heather/Tammi ,our other daughter, out to lunch then go peak in on Chace for me...thanks Kate! Love ya girl!
Today was Jon's 45 birthday so we went to his moms and she took us all to lunch. We sat out on the patio and had shrimp all you could eat...yummmm...then while sitting there I got to looking at her left hand and noticed her ring finger on her left hand was all red- Mom let me see your finger- her nail had grew so long it was curled back around the finger and had cut into the finger but she didn't know it! She has no use of the hand after her stroke in 03 so she never paid attention! We took her over to urgent care and sure enough! It was infected- the doc cut the nail best he could and it was all pussy under there...then the ass- was looking at ME telling me how to care for it- I looked at him and said Um- it's her you need to be talking to and telling how! Not me! She's not deaf! oh I was pissed! I've never had to talk to a doc like that but he made me mad- 1st t ime I thought well it wasn't a big deal, I thought he would turn and talk to mom too...NOPE! After he started again that's when I looked at him and told him he needed to be talking to mom not me! and then he was cranking her hand around and hurting her I thought she would smack him! I reminded him she had a stroke and had no use of the hand but it hurt her to move it- he finally was a little gentler then...doctors can be a PITA sometimes when they don't listen! or at least pay attention to the patient!

Tired Tuesday

Not sure why but I'm feeling VERY sleepy today! Feeling like I did when I was on to high a dosage of the pain meds. I'm on the 400mg dose now(if its the real deal). I'm thinking I maybe dehydrated pretty bad so have water bottle-am drinking!

Chase is doing well even tho he's lost almost a lb since birth. Doc wants Heather to wake him more often to feed. I mentioned to Heather maybe she's not producing enough milk-which might be the problem since I had the same with her too. She may have to supplement, which is ok...he got the most important milk already. Otherwise he's good as are mom,dad and siblings.

I've been looking for some fund raising ideas for my 3Day walk and found a cool site that will pay people for posting reviews of local businesses. I'll be posting info on it here in a few days once I get it all set up! You make a review and the site sends the money directly to the organization in my name. Stay tuned!

Chace Ryan Wells Our newest grandson born Mar.10. I so can't wait to see him in person and cuddle. Mom and baby are fine. They came home today after mom had to have an emergency C-section. All is fine with both of them. This will be the little announcement I made for his sister to print and take to school to show her classmates.

Chilly Thursday

Can't believe how chilly it's been here this week, but after all it is Feb, Jon keeps reminding me! News this morning showed some gorgeous photos of the snow in the mountains and rocks in Sedona, just north about an hr and half of us. GORGEOUS photos. Maybe we'll take a drive up there this weekend.

Daughter just called and said they're going to do an ultra sound next week so maybe we'll find out if she's having a little girl or boy- well maybe not so little as she claims she's huge - due Apr 1 ...and of course has been very lax about taking photos no matter how many times I've reminded her- don't forget to take some pics today- yeah I should do that shouldn't I..umm-yeah! LOL she said she'd do some today so we'll see...

Oh police helicopter has been flying over the house REALLY low for about half hr now- guess I should turn on the TV and see what's up with that...just checked and the only thing news worthy on is a bomb scare at the high school a couple miles away. Turned out to be nothing and helicopter is now gone. Why people feel the need to do such stupid ass things!

I've started watching my ABC soaps again after about a 4 yr absence..LOL...a few people but the same dumb stuff happening..One Live to Live Dorian Lord is now married to David Vickers and is a Buddhist..LOL.She's up to something so it'll be fun to follow for awhile. I started watching the ABC's one back when my grandma was still alive- 1973 or so..LOL. thru the 80's when the kids were little- I spent their nap time watching, skipped most of the 90's and up till now- amazing how many are still on and haven't seemed to grow old for the most part- except the kids are all grown and have their own. Makes for cheap entertainment! LOL

American Idol this year is something else too- Some of their choices they picked to keep in were lame- screaming girl OMG!! I SOOOO hope America gets it right and boots her! She can sing fairly good but the screaming has GOT to go! The blind guy is good so I hope he stays...need to learn their names.

Our weather has gotten SO cold! OMG! Can you believe January is almost over already?!?! Where did the month go?

I did my 2nd visit to get into the pain study with Hope Research- I got in!!! I started my meds this morning- since it's a blind study we don't know if we're getting the real stuff of placebo- I'm hoping for the real thing- as I'm sure anyone in the study is but time will tell. Any relief is better than none at all. The drug they're testing is called Pregabalin- it's sued for Fibromyalgia patients right now with hopes it helps people who have a SCI-spinal cord injury as well. We'll see- will post with the progress.

Still fighting with our Home Warranty company- American Home Shield about getting a camera in here to see why we keep plugging up in our plumbing- SO not happpy with them or the last company sent out! I specifically asked for a camera to be used- they set up with CNJ plumbing and we had the city super here as well- CNJ shows up- NO CAMERA! THEN he tells AHS he snaked the drain- how can you snake when you got no further than the driveway? THEN he changed his story and said the city snaked it! The city doesn't do things like that! So he lied twice! BUT they won't talk to the city super who was here as they don't include 3rd parties! So you mean you take the word of a plumber over your client? Whatever! JOn gave them till 5pm today to get this resolved or we're going to the BBB and our local TV station! This is rediculous! They'll pay to have em come out each time to run the snake but won't pay the $275 to rent a camera to find out WHY it's backing up every 3-4 days...makes NO sense at all! 1st reason they wouldn't run one- we had no outside access- found the access point and now they say they don't do that...We're canceling when this is all resolved and saving our money! TOTAL BS!

Happier news- our laminate floors will be here Monday!!! WooHoo!!! Still have to get a trailer here to put the stuff in yet but we'll get it! then vacuum and we're all set to go. Can't wait!

Happy Inauguration Day!

WOW! It's FINALLY here! Inauguration of our 44th President of the United States Of America! At 10:00AM AZ time Barrack Obama will become our newest president! Who would have thought in our lifetime we would see a black president! I am SOOO excited for him as well as what's ahead for our country! There will be challenges for him but I have TOTAL faith things will turn around for our country! Bush left a mess that's sure but Barrack will get us back on track!
I would SOOO love to be in Washington to be part of this historical event but we'll be here recording it for our future generations to see. Pretty amazing! I have a box of tissues handy as I KNOW it will be a tearful day for me as well as many others. I'm such a baby when things like this happen. Oh heck I cry at anything anymore but this will be a HUGE teary day- happy tears tho! I wish the Obama's ALL the best and look forward to his tenure in the White House.

Our remodel- coming slow but getting there. Our laminate floors will be installed Monday/Tuesday. Can't wait! Then the tile in the bath and finishing touches. Will be nice to be done then get life back on track..LOL.
Our daughter is progressing well in her pregnancy. Due date Apr 1. Her daughter Kaileigh is excited to be a big sister and will be a huge help to mom and dad. I'm hoping to get out there when she delivers or right before.
Spent almost 6 hrs in Ikea yesterday! OMG! That place is AMAZING! and so full of ideas and COOL stuff! I bought 3 cabinets to put in the bathroom for linens. Spent $135 for 3 tall cabinets which is awesome since the ones in Lowes were almost $300! Only thing they didn't have were the shelves but that's a minor detail and cheap enough to get. The savings were worth it.
Back to watching the festivities! Have a GREAT day all as it IS a GREAT day!

Well it's day 2 of 2009! and I'm behind doing 1 of my resolutions already.LOL- I told myself I was going to post each day but have I? NOPE! Starting today I will TRY!

Several friends are doing the 365 project and I'm going to play also! A photo a day then at the end of each week I'm going to make a page of the whole week's pics. Should be easy to do, I would think.

Our remodel is coming along, slow, but awesome! The LR carpet is gone. YEAH! I was SHOCKED how much dirt and nastieness gets under it. It was GROSS! We will never ever have carpet in a house again!!! Tile or laminate all the way. When we get this project done- the only 2 rooms with carpet will be my scrapping/craft room and Jayson's bedroom. Eventually that will come out too.
Jon and Mike got the pocket door all installed in the hallway going into our bedroom and the door removed and doorway widened into our room too! YEAH! Now I can roll my chair in with no problems!!! Won't be long we'll be able to sleep in the same room together again! 6 years is a looong time not to...sigh...but we do what we have to. Monday Mike will come over, hang plastic and they'll get to jackhammering up the bathroom floor to re pour it slopped for the roll in shower. Will be sooooo nice to take a shower again! Since we're redoing everything we're also getting rid of alot of stuff! It fees SO good to toss the old and shop for new! Been a long time since we've bought new furniture or anything.

I'll have to figure out how to add a slide show and get some before pics and progreesion pics here so you can see who we're coming along. Long process but the labor price is nice- beer and brats! Have to work around his schedule which is fine with us! Mikes a great friend and the guys get along really well! Always joking around but serious when need be. Thanks Mike for being a good friend and helping us out!!!! Course it helps when he has such a cute son too who we love to pieces and loves to come see me!

Oh if I forgot to mention before- I'm going back in on Monday to have my shoulder scoped and cranked on to loosen up scare tissue and such from my Sept torn rotator cuff surgery. Can we say OUCHIE WAH WAH!!! It's going to be really sore PLUS I have to start right in on intense rehab Tuesday! If this doesnt help get my range of motion back then we don't know what else to do- Cory my PT guy thinks it might be more neurological but is hoping he's wrong. If neuro problem there isn't anything that can be done ....sigh...but we'll see!! Not giving up just yet...it's the pain I'm having that's puzzeling too..will update as I can.

Whoa! Jon's computer is making a LOUD humming noise when the fan kicks in- wonder if it's the fan going? Will have to tear it apart...maybe it needs a gooood cleaning...it sure is loud tho...he needs a whole new computer as this one is like 7 yrs old and slow...maybe we'll reboot and see if that helps...

Rainy Days and Tuesdays

Pouring like cats and dawgs today and chilly. Sure beats the white stuff, although I do miss it this time of year. Now all we have to do is drive 2hrs north, play in it then come home.

Is everyone ready for Christmas? I am about as ready as I'll ever be. Have to wrap pressies yet but that will wait. We're trying to figure a good way to wrap Jayson's Guitar Hero. Kind of hard to disguise a guitar.LOL.

Remodel is going well! Everything is out of the bathroom but the toilet- hoping we can start floor demolish this weekend. Mike and Jon got the pocketdoor frames installed.WooHoo! Will add doors after they jack hammer the floor-just in case! Would suck to hit it with the jackhammer!After they get the cement out, they'll put in the floor drain, move the toilet, run water pipes for shower and sink then pour floor.Once the floor sets Mike can start the tile! YEAH! It won't be till probably after the 1st when it's done that far but that's ok. I did get my new shower chair so we're set that far! LOL.

Scrapping- Trying to get caught up with my CT work.I THINK I'm done, for now. I added a slide show with my new ones since Nov. Still learning how to make them smaller here so I can showcase more. perhaps I need to resize them in Fotofusion first? Ohh ohh- I got my new PSE7 last week! YIPPEEEEE....Now to learn how to use it! LOL. I'll be looking for tuts and asking for help along the way so if ya use it, let me know if I can ask questions,k?

Post Black Friday

Well we survived turkey day and Black Friday ince again! I was smart this year and did all my shopping online! Only thing I missed was the sale at Sears when their site crashed! I was just going to order some new bras for me but that's ok. They're always on sale anyways so no biggy..LOL

We did go to Lowes and picked up our new sink- we went with a pedistal one so I can roll under it, also got all the new faucets for shower and sink. The sink one is coool! Reminds me of an old hand water pump on the farm. It's a burnished bronze- all the faucets are-

Sink - this is the style but ours is the same finish as the shower head.It's SOO purdy!

So things are coming along alsow but sure. Today we're going to finish tearing out the sink vanity and begin ripping out the door and hallway closets. Doors are all off now so we're ready to rip and tear! Hardest part has been colors. What colors to go with. At least we have the base started with the faucets. Tile will have to match- sink is white as it would have cost us another $80 or so to go with a colored sink. Ugh! Oh well..we can live with white. OH! Let me get the sink pic too! I think we MIGHT put some kind of wood behind the sink area- kind of laminate flooring type stuff to give a rustic look the area since the faucet looks rustic. What do you all think? yes? no? maybe? Sat. Busyness

We have a HUGE project coming! We discovered a HUGE leak in our main bathroom after we had a plumber come fix our tub leak on Thurs, Seems it's been leaking under the main shower for awhile...the insurance adjuster will be out Monday AM to see how much damage is done. I have a feeling it's alot as the water seeps under the hall closet(which backs the main bath) as well into our bedroom. Jon said there is like a 4 ft space of wet carpet at least. SO we have lots of work ahead! Of course in the interim it'll be a good time to haul junk out we've been holding onto forever! My biggest concern is my grandma's cedar chest got wet. It's up against the bathroom wall holding our TV in the bedroom. I SO hope it's ok....Once we find out how much we're covered for then we can look for a contractor to begin the work...we'll have to take out the shower enclosure too to see what damage is done- HOPE there is no mold...then when we redo it we'll just do a whole remodel and make it a roll in shower for me, take out the linen closet and put it in the bathroom then make the doorway wider so I can get my chair in there, think we'll also make the sink adaptable so I can roll right under it as well. It's a bad thing to happen but a good thing too. Just sucky timing right before the holidays! Merry Christmas to us! Will be sure and take pics as we can.

On to happier things- I'm now on 5 CT's! Am I nuts, you ask? Kinda looks like it huh? LOL. I LOVE all my designers tho so it's all good! With all the house going ons I'm a tad behind but have managed to get some pages done this week in between the flooding and PT for my shoulder which is going ok. I sure do hurt some days!

On another note- my shoulder is healing well! Still stiff some days, staples are out and most of the sterie strips are gone so now all that's left is the healing and getting started with PT. That won't be for about 3 more weeks tho when I go back to see Dr.Tindall and he gives me the green light to start! I will still have to go slow so I dont reinjure the shoulder. That's all I need! LOL.

where did the week go? Seems the older we get,the faster time flies! Why IS that???

Shoulder healing REALLY well...no signs of infection,bleeding or anything! YEAH! I have always been a good healer anyways when it comes to surgeries,which is good!
Had an AWESOME visit with my sousin Shelly and her DH Randy yesterday..they were in town for the weekend on a mini vacation so came over for the afternoon...was a nice time...right after they left, I remembered,DUH!,Jon had taken steak out for dinner and I spaced asjing em to stay for dinner! What a dork I am sometimes! LOL..SOO SORRY guys! They only live like 3 hrs away but we rarely get to see each other,sigh,...her mom and my dad were brother/sister ...
Jayson LOVES his classes this yr...seems to be doing well,so far,,we'll see in a cpl weeks when progress reports come out!

I have resigned from 3Scrapateers..it was a tough decision to make but 1 I felt I needed to do....I'll still bee around tho now and then so I'm gone forever,just in a different capacity...thank you to all those folks i have met along the way and friendships made..I will treasure those always...if anyone needs me,you know my email addy or leave a message here...

I had surgery on my torn rotator cuff last Wed and am home now. It hurts to move m arm but I have it in a sling so try and keep the lower arm moving so it doesn't freeze up on me...try typing 1 handed with my left hand...LOL...driving my chair left handed is a riot too...NOT! It's really hard so haven't been back up in it since coming home Sat night...sure was weird getting into the van...scary even...
I have a pretty colored bruise on my shoulder blade...14 staples and 1 stitch...doc told DH that he's never not been able to scope a shoulder before opening it in his 30 yrs of practice so there must have been ALOT of scarring..ya think! LOL...I go get staples out Sept 9 so we'll see what he says then...have to go get the films yet too...anxious to see them....

Had therapy yesterday again. We increased the exercises to 5 sets of 15...I thought 1 of them I was going to die! It burned SO bad by the 4th set...Cory said that was GOOD...arg! We're looking to get a 10's unit to help loosen things up, or thats the plan now anyways. He still thinks it might be something with the rotator cup and so do I...the ortho doc who looked at my xrays a few weeks ago said it wasn't but he had no clue what it was- mentioned maybe cortisone- NO! I dont want it masked, find out what the hell is causing it to lock up! Doesn't take a rocket scientist to do that, does it? Sometimes these doctors are a PITA! They want a quick fix or just mask it for now, to tie me over...I want the problem fixed but first find out exactly what IS the problem! I'm going to get a second opinion here in a cpl weeks when PT is over. I said I would give it the 6 weeks the ortho doc said sooooo.....Mon I'm going to call a different ortho doc! Will let ya all know...

We went camping over the 4th of July. Had a GREAT time, rain and all! Plus I forgot to pack my sling we use to get me in and out of the chair with! Poor Jon had to haul my fat ass in and out of the chair twice! I called my urology guy, Gary Hershey at PRN Medical , to see if he knew of a medical place up there in Prescott where we were camping, He said he did know of 1 place but wasnt sure if they were still there..asked why, what's up. I told him we're looking for a sling as I forgot mine...he says that he thought they had one there at the office and he and his wife were coming to Prescott that very afternoon! What are the odds! He checked and sure enough they had one!!!! YEAH!!!! So he and his wife met us in Prescott that afternoon and delivered the sling to us...they were coming up for Prescott Frontier days anyways and said even if they weren't they would have brought us one anyways...How COOL is THAT! Gary ALWAYS goes above and beyond the call of duty for us! Not every business has employees so helpful and kind either! He's a para also so totally understands out needs where others might not. KUDOS to you Gary!

Well our AZ Diamondbacks are sucking BIG time! We HAD like a 6 game lead in our division and now we're tied with the Dodgers for 1st place! They have had NO defense and now some of our star hitters and fielders are on the DL! Not a good thing! Now there is talk they might be looking to hire Barry Bonds- NO WAY! He's a TOTAL LOOSER! I soooooo HOPE and Pray they don't go that low! He's a has been, washed up, major ego toatin' ass! They will loose alot of fans I'm sure if they do. I would rather be in last place and keep a great team than be in 1st with a roidin' player on the team! Time will tell...

Well did everyone have a nice July 4th weekend? 3 day weekends are SOOOOO nice to have aren't they? Jon had a 4 dayer so we headed north to COOOOOL weather! We camped at Lynz Lake in Prescott Valley for the weekend. Had a GREAT time just the 3 of us. Weather was PERFECT! Had some rain and HAIL, of all things! The boys rented a canoe and fished. I would have loved to go too but kind of hard to get my wheelchair in one..LOL...so Reggie and I walked the path around the lake. Took some cool pics of hummingbirds, dragonflies, Osprey, a momma duck and her babies, cat tails, cactus flowers, the boys fishing and on the way back to van when the hail hit I managed to get 1 shot of the pea sized hail on the ground! Weirdest part was it about 50 degrees out so not sure where the hell the hail came from! LOL. We had rain off and on all day Fri, Fri night and then again Sat as we were packing BUT it did hold off until we got the tent down and packed up! PHEW! Only thing we needed to set back up to dry out was the canopy but thats no biggy. When we left it was 66 out, by the time we hit the valley 2 hrs later it was 112!!! HOT!
Jon just left for work, went to get in the van, came back in with this soda can with the lid peeled back like a can opener opened it- " See what happens when you leave a soda can in the car in phpenix in the summer!" OMG! It split that puppy wide open- guess where all the soda went? LOL...dash, seat, floor, mirror...guess who has a mess to clean when he gets home...snicker...darn good thing it wasn't in MY van! Do I feel sorry for him...NOPE! Ding dong...we live in Phoenix! 112 outside, imagine what the inside got to! hehehe...it's funny but it's not...I know- I have a warped sense of humor...snicker...

Lazy Day

Well it's been a pretty lazy day for me! I went in yesterday and had my 1st colonoscopy..Have you had your's yet? If I can do it, so can YOU! I kept putting it off since I turned 50, gosh I'm getin old! Was actually not all that bad. The prepping was the hardest part, as you can imagine. The procedure went without a hitch. The out patient clinic was AWESOME! Everyone was very helpful and accomidating to us. I had to bring my own lift to get me from chair to gurny but that's ok. The nurses let us do what we needed to, right down to even moving the bed to get me into it. I mentioned to Pat, my nurse, that I was a hard stick and she said she wouldn't even attenpt to put the IV in then, she's let the anesthesia doctor do it. KOOL BEANS! When he looked he found a good vein, or he thought was..LOL...it moved when he stuck the needle in. I barely felt it. He had to look on my left arm, right above where it had been broken so the skin was a tad more tender...1 stick and it was in..good to go! They got me on my side, all comfy, put in the sleepy juice but I stayed awake long enough to ask Dr. Landan for a copy of the film to put on Youtube...eveyone got a laugh out of that(was just joking of course)! Next thing I know, I'm waking up an hr later all done! I did get some great photos of my colon and he said all is clear but I did have 1 tiny polyp he cut out and sent out to be biopsied so we're good to go for another 5 yrs or so! Have you all had your's done yet?? PLEASE be sure and get your's if you haven't already! Better to be safe than sorry! If I, who is paralized and in a wheelchair can find a way to get mine done , than you can too!

Woo Hoo! It's finally Friday! This week went really fast! I have been doing PT for my right shoulder all week in hopes we can get it loosned up so I have full range of motion again! It neever has worked right since I was hurt, 6 yrs ago! Ortho doc seems to think it's just frozen but Cory, my PT guy, thinks it's something else. He's been putting a 10's unit on it, then deeeeep massaging it and some minor range of motion of exercising. I have 3x's a wk for 6 wks approved to go so we'll see what happens at the end of those 6 wks. If no improvement I'm going for another MRI and a 2nd opinion. My family practice doctor seems to think it may have been broken or cracked when I was hurt and they never caught it. I can feel a sharp pointy area when I lay on my left side and while sitting at the desk so that leads me to think something isn't quite right even tho the ortho doc said it looks fine. Hmmm...
The weekend is here! Yeah! Too hot to do much outside tho! Temps have been hovering at 112 all week...ick! Welcome to Phoenix they say! Ahh but it's a dry heat! Yeah, so is an oven!
Jayson's school is trying to win $10,000 from Big Lots! I guess they have some contest going for schools, so he and a cpl of his friends went yesterday to help shoot the commercial! He got a part in it! I'm going today and see it...should be good...keep your fingers crossed we win!

Well we made it thru another turkey dinner and Black Friday shopping day! Dinner was awesome, more so since I didn't have to cook! and I got almost all my Christmas shopping done on Friday! Have a few odds and ends to do then we're finished! Well have to wrap yet which is worse than the shopping! I hate wrapping. Mostly cause it doesn't last long enough! LOL. Think the kids would mind if all their presents were under the tree in Wally World and Tarlet bags? Targets are festive- white and red- those are nice Christmas colors..and WM are white too...I might even slap a bow on em to make em pretty!
Had hoped to get the outside lights up but I was sick all day Sat with this darn cold and Jon messed with this netting stuff he got from work. It's HUGE. Covers the trains for the light rail and gets thrown away so he brought some home and is making hammocks out it! Pretty cool! He enjoys it so I let him go. Gets him away from in front of the computer for hours...can you imagine? snicker.....
Kind of gloomy looking outside, Could it mean we have rain coming???? We could be so lucky! NOT...
This cold or allergies is kicking my butt this week! Didn't help yesterday I was outside while Jayson was mowing the grass then I helped with a cpl areas he couldn't or didn't want to do...parts of it are dirt so ya know what happens there when the mower blows in that direction! cough cough sputter sputter....I also trimmed alot of dead stuff off my roses...one has new growth all over it! HELLO! It's Nov for heavens sake....die off so I can whack ya back to the max and have nice new stuff in the spring. I'll get after it big time this week. It's won't know what hit it then! LOL
Temps are COLD this AM. Jon left at 5:15 with a jacket on! Has to be ccccoold for him to do that.
Well off to finish some assignments for 3S then do some recipe pages for a swap . Have a great day!

Well yesterday I turned 51!!! YEAH ME! Each yr I make another bday is a great event! I spent doing NOTHING. Well played on the computer, big surprise there huh? lol.
I recieved so many birthday wishes and a cpl free kits from scrapping sites- THANK YOU to clikchicdesigns.com and KBandFriends for your beautiful kits. I appreciate the generosity! Thank you to ALL my online friends too for the cards and birthday wishes. DH bought me the cutest card too! Along with dinner! Shrimp,crab and a Black Forest cake...yummmm....Jayson gave me a huge hug and wished me HB too. He is such a cool kid and fun to be with. He told me last night all he wanted to Christmas was a guitar and a DS....sooooo....looks like Santa will have an easy time this yr! lol. Tis good since Jon was out of work so much and we're trying to get back on our feet again. Sure sucks when you're used to a pay check each week then lose a job and have nothing for weeks. I don't know how people do it, well they don't and become homeless. I can't even imagine it! My heart goes out to those who have had it happen.
Today is a lazy day again. Fighting a BAD toothache. I'm going to have to find a new dentist and hope he uses something besides novacaine! I hate the needles in the mouth thing! shudder...
Not much else happnin. Guess I will try to get more files copied to disks and clean the HD...what a chore! OMG!

Well I did it!!! I finally got into another vehicle out of my wheelchair! Our friends bought a Ford Expidition and managed to get my butt into it! WooHoo!!! We got up at 4:30 Sat morning, got dressed and ready to head to the mountains for a day of off roadin and hunting. The guys hunted squirels and I hunted things to take pics of from the truck. LOL...we left about 7 and arrived in the forest about 9:30...found some cool roads to travel and bounce around on! One of them was OMG just barely wide enough to travel on! I just now thought DOLT! Happy Halloween Eve all! Jayson has me working on his costume...he wants to be Freddy Kruger...ick! but we do it..rather than spend 10 bucks for a glave I'm making one...using his golf glove, foil,and duct tape. He wants to do something with his face too so we may use a pair of pantyhose and paint red/brown marker on them- Haven't decided yet. They had a news cast on how sexual some of the costumes are for teens these days. I SO wish we could get back to the days when we all made our costumes, covered ourselves and best thing they were FREE!

Well I am TRYING to get my EHD cleared out of old "stuff"- kits I won't use, icky pics that I have 99 copies of to make sure I get 1 or 2 good shots- you know you ALL do it too...How to decide tho. OMG! I want to use em all but no way I can. So delete I have been doing. gasp! Right now there is 2.40 GIG worth of stuff to dump..WOW! Have a LOT more to go but taking baby steps...organize, refile. delete, move...what a job! but I AM determined to get it all done! Having lost 2 EHD's already you would THINK I would have been doing it sooner, but noooooooooo....being the procrastinator extroidinaire that I am have not...till now! Have em ready to go starting tomorrow! WOO HOO!!! Baby steps...HOPE to have EVERYTHING done by Jan 1 so I can start new and fresh for the new year!

Well it is now 4AM....think I better sleep some more...yawn...night...morning,,,where ever ya are!

YEAH! I have the house to myself, well besides the dog,birds and rodent....the guys went squirrel hunting...yumm...I'll eat them but hunt and clean em- no way! ICK!
I can't believe it's Say already! As well as the last weekend before Halloween! Where has this month gone! Just means Christmas is right around the corner now....GADS! Ours will be little this year which is ok....with Jon out of work for 5 weeks we have to get back on our feet again. Not doing to bad all in all tho. We had planned to go to Disney but have put it on hold till next year now. Jon likes his new job so far! He's a QA for the new light rail being put in here. He makes sure the cars are put together and are safe to ride. I think I might check if they need someone to check how ADA friendly they are! Wouldn't that be cool!
Think I'm off to clean out more files..OMG! I dumped SO many the last cpl of days. Things I "THOUGHT" were cool but were junk...things I will never ever use but HAD to have- you know we all HAVE kits like that! lol...we're all or were freebie hogs,,grabbing anything and everything we could get our hands on. As time goes on tho we learn what is good and wasn't isn't as good as it should be but people were or are learning the craft. Everyone is new at one time or other!

What else is new!
Well I FINALLY got my new chair but it sucks! BARELY fits thru the door! The delivery guy rips a small hole in the arm rest and tore off the molding bringing it in, no ccushion- its on order- well why the hell did ya bring me the chair then? HELLO! I specifically asked for a short back so my back fat would fit in the seat better- he said no problem- has a full back! Arm rests are WAY to low and I dont think can be raised enough , no seatbelt! HELLO! Who orders a power chair with no seatbelt? Especially if you have a paraplegic using it? The guy is a moron! and I am calling Monday to tell him so too! He never returns phone calls either...Monday is NOT going to be a good day when I go in there.
Onto better news- our Arizona Diamondbacks are in 1st place still by 2 games!!! YEAH!!!! GOOOOOOOO D-BACKS! We're going to the game tomorrow against the Cubs, SHould be a good game IF they get a better umpire in there than Friday nights! OMG! He was SOOOO not consistant with his calls for either team. Wonder who paid him to make bad calls? LOL

I cant sleep! TOTALLY mad at DH(and it ain't dear) this AM! I wrote him a nasty gram so we'll see how it goes when he reads it. Oh well! Won't go into details or I will bust out bawling again! MEN! UGH!

Had a vegging day today! I do that now and then. Days I don't feel like getting up so I don't. Feels good to just lay here and be lazy! I did get alot of web surfing done and old emails cleared out tho so it wasnt a totally wasted day!
Have been trying for 3 days to get my doctor to call me and write me a new perscription for a new wheelchair! I have had this one 5 yrs now and it's needing some major over hauling and since Medicare hasn't bought one they said they would. YEAH ME! I think I am going to get a purdy purple one this time so when I join the Red Hatters I can dress in red and have my purple chair! Although I am pretty fond of the red one. Decisions decisions!
Well I am in the Amazing Race again this year with one of my fellow Home Team Members at 3Scrapateers! Amberlee Batchelor and I will be The Cowgirl DigiJunkies! I was in it last year and had a GREAT time. Won lots of prizes so am looking forward to another FUN year!!! Yeee Haw!!!
